Describe what you do in your role.
I support youth philanthropy, working closely with the Michigan Community Foundations Youth Project (MCFYP) in the development and coordination of training and resources for Youth Advisory Councils (YACs) and their advisors across the state, including the annual Youth Grantmakers Summer Leadership. I also provide resources, and technical assistance and coordinate programs and convenings for the Michigan Forum for African Americans Philanthropy and the Human Resources and Talent Affinity Group.
What do you enjoy the most about your work?
I enjoy knowing that I am making a positive impact on people’s lives.
What are the causes you’re most passionate about?
Youth work and food security.
What inspires, challenges or motivates you?
I’m motivated and inspired to continue the work I do professionally and personally because of the difference it is making in people’s lives and communities.
What do you love about Michigan?
I love nature and being able to enjoy all four seasons.
