Bay Area Community Foundation

The mission of the Bay Area Community Foundation is to build community through generosity, leadership and strategic grantmaking. In addition to the traditional core functions of a community foundations, the Board of Trustees has identified four areas for community impact: (1) Early childhood development, (2) Postsecondary education and training with a focus on first generation students, (3) Sense of place and (4) Diversity, equity and inclusion.
