Kayl brings experience in nonprofit administration to the Governor’s Office of Foundation Liaison (OFL), particularly with membership organizations. Before his role with OFL began in April 2025, he was a Membership Specialist at the Michigan Manufacturers Association. There, he conducted industry research and outreach activities to support member recruitment and retention. Prior to the Association, Kayl was Membership & Communications Manager at the Country Club of Lansing, where he managed the Club’s membership operations, member services, and communications.
Kayl grew up in rural West Michigan and moved to the Lansing/East Lansing area to attend Michigan State University. He graduated from MSU with a bachelor’s in Comparative Cultures & Politics in the James Madison College program and has stayed in and around the capital city since then.
