Founder & Principal
Liz is on a mission to revitalize tired, outmoded evaluation practices wherever she finds them. Whether it's strategizing with foundations, nonprofits, or government agencies, Liz brings her unique blend of knowledge, experience, innovation, and enthusiasm to the table.
Liz began foundation work while completing her Master of Social Work degree at Grand Valley State University through the Johnson Center for Philanthropy. She has been both a consultant and a foundation staff member. In both roles, Liz has focused on creating cultures of learning, evaluation planning and implementation, strategy development, and capacity building for evaluation and learning.
In addition to being the founder and principal of Delaney Data Empowerment, Liz is currently writing her dissertation for her Ph.D. in Educational Leadership with a focus on Organizational Analysis on how evaluation behaviors of program officers impact their perceived job performance. She also teaches as an adjunct at GVSU.
