Dr. Brittany Kienker is Principal and Owner of Kienker Consulting LLC and Knowledge Insights Expert in Residence at CMF. Brittany brings more than 20 years of experience in foundations, nonprofits, and higher education. Brittany leads the Ask CMF team of expert consultants and has answered thousands of questions from grantmaking organizations across the state of Michigan and beyond. She also supports the curation of CMF’s Knowledge Center resources and Sample Documents Hub and has written dozens of cutting-edge educational resources for the field.
Brittany is one of the nation’s foremost technical assistance experts for grantmaking organizations, and regularly advises philanthropy serving organizations, consultants, and researchers. Brittany received her Ph.D. from the Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. She also earned an M.A. in Philanthropic Studies (IU), M.A. in Public History (IU), and B.A. in Public History (Western Michigan University).
