Biography
Yazeed is director of Michigan Programs at the W.K. Kellogg Foundation in Battle Creek, Michigan. In this role, he supports foundation efforts to promote thriving children, working families and equitable communities. Moore provides leadership and oversight of the foundation’s investments in Michigan to create conditions that ensure children have opportunities to thrive in equitable communities. Supporting work across Michigan, Moore leads the foundation’s statewide grantmaking priorities, in collaboration and partnership with grantees, communities and other stakeholders throughout the region. Previously, Moore served as a senior program officer, directing strategy and investments and leading place-based teams in both Detroit and Grand Rapids. Prior to joining the Kellogg Foundation, Moore held the position of program officer at the Charles Stewart Mott Foundation in Flint, Michigan. There, he oversaw a national youth and education grant portfolio focused on enhancing program models and policies that expand educational and employment pathways for students. Moore has also served as director of research/foundation relations at Earlham College in Richmond, Indiana, and has held internships with the Mott Foundation, the Indiana University Foundation and the Urban League of Philadelphia. In addition, he has also served on a number of committees, workgroups and advisory boards dedicated to youth and education issues, including Michigan’s Children, Michigan Parent’s Council, CMF's P-20 Education Workgroup and Earlham College Alumni Council. Moore received his bachelor’s degree in management from Earlham College and his Master of Public Affairs from Indiana University in Bloomington.
