Describe what you do in your role.
My role with the Governor’s Office of Foundation Liaison is to help identify and foster opportunities for foundations and the state’s executive branch to collaborate on and jointly fund programs and policies aimed at improving outcomes for Michigan residents, particularly those who are most vulnerable and marginalized.
What do you enjoy the most about your work?
I love that much of my work is relationship building. Helping others to establish and strengthen meaningful connections feels both valuable and enjoyable.
What are the causes you are most passionate about?
Health, education and economic prosperity.
What inspires, challenges, or motivates you?
My children. Every day.
What do you love about Michigan?
Seasons, lakes, “up north” and the friendly, down-to-earth people who choose to live here. I also can’t help but join the chorus of folks highlighting the beauty of Michigan’s natural environment.
