Dr. Pete McCown, president, Community Foundation of Elkhart County
Dr. Pete McCown has been the President of the Community Foundation of Elkhart County since 2011. Prior to this role, McCown served as a Professor of Business and Vice President for Advancement at Bethel College. He holds graduate degrees (Master's in Education, Ph.D. in Social Science) from the State University of New York. He also holds a Master's in Business Administration from Indiana Wesleyan University. He also serves as the Board Chair of the South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership; as a Board Member of the North Central Indiana Regional Development Authority; and as a Trustee at Spring Arbor University.
Aly Sterling, president and founder, Aly Sterling
Aly manages her firm while advising clients on challenges that affect their sustainability and mission success. She recently partnered with a legal aid foundation in LA to lead their first-ever capital campaign for a new headquarters, and currently serves as fundraising counsel to a healthcare system managing regional and national campaigns raising more than $85 million. Aly's expertise includes fundraising, strategic planning, search consultation and board leadership development for organizations of varying sizes. She's sought for comment on topics related to the nonprofit sector, most recently providing insight into social sector innovation and donor motivation for the Chronicle of Philanthropy.
