CMF Members Share Stories of MI Philanthropy on Capitol Hill
Members of our CMF community returned to D.C. last week for the first in-person Foundations on the Hill since 2020. CMF members met with federal policymakers to educate them on issues that foster economic prosperity and strengthen our Michigan communities and lift up opportunities for philanthropy and government to work in partnership.
Program Staff Roundtable
Join us for this virtual gathering for programming staff to share what you’re seeing in your own work and crowdsource ideas from your peers across the state. This will be an open space for discussion, so please bring your questions, concerns and highlights from your own work to share with the group. As we continue our collective equity journey, we invite you to bring forward equity-related topics to our roundtables throughout the year. This conversation is open to all CMF members whether your work touches programming or you have a dedicated programming role.
YAC Advisor Spring Training
Join your fellow YAC advisors for an opportunity to network and learn together! During this engaging in-person training, YAC advisors will learn more about the Developmental Assets Framework, which identifies 40 supports and strengths that young people need to succeed. In addition to a high-level overview of the framework and research, participants hear how a YAC has incorporated the work into their needs assessment and consider ways they can use the information in their YAC’s work. Participants will also have time to connect with peers around best practices, lessons learned and other topics of interest. This training is open to community foundation staff or volunteers who serve in a leadership or support role with their YAC.
Latinx Nonprofit & Funder Gathering: Building Community
Join us for our second statewide gathering of Latinx nonprofit and philanthropy leaders, hosted by CMF’s Latinx Affinity Network! Our goals for this in-person gathering include deepening connections and broadening our network, enhancing nonprofit capacity, and fostering shared understanding and support around civic engagement. Let's come together to strengthen our community and amplify our impact.
