What does it mean to stay adaptive amidst the confluence of a global health crisis, an economic crisis and racial injustice? How do grantmakers stay accountable to the communities we serve, particularly Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities who are and will be disproportionately impacted? Join us for a virtual conversation where we will explore the opportunities we all have to adapt and reimagine our grantmaking to ensure greater alignment with our programs, policies and practices. Through storytelling from the CMF community and breakout conversations, we will acknowledge that as we adapt, we don't have all the answers but getting started is better than getting it perfect. During this conversation, we will explore the following questions: What is our purpose, as a grantmaker, now and as we look to the future? How are we adapting our grantmaking to stay accountable to our community, particularly Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) communities who are and will be disproportionately impacted? What practices do we want to continue and what practices no longer serve us, our grantee partners and our communities? What is the story that our foundation wants to tell about this experience 5 years from now?
