Building community starts young by giving children practice and experiences across community, school and families. Learning to Give helps educators teach the skills, knowledge and actions of philanthropy and community engagement. Free resources at learningtogive.org are used to teach the why and how of philanthropy, especially youth philanthropy.
From kindergarten to twelfth grade, activities and resources explain philanthropy in the context of real life and all school subjects. With Learning to Give, all youth can learn about philanthropy and how to take action in their own communities. Members are encouraged to share the tools provided by Learning to Give with their networks and local educators.
Learning to Give is a supporting organization of the Council of Michigan Foundations.
