Equity should be embedded in every aspect of our work. As communicators how can we ensure our internal and external messaging supports our organization's equity value? The Kalamazoo Community Foundation (KZCF) is engaged in transforming its communications products to better reflect its equity priority. In this workshop, KZCF will share toplines from its learning journey over the past two years including common messaging missteps to avoid such as the white savior narrative, deficit narratives and the single-person success story and frames we can all use to support our organization's equity journey.
