Renee Morse

Describe what you do in your role.

I manage daily operations and serve as support for our president, executive director and steering committee. I also manage and assist with planning, projects, scheduling, communications, fundraising and building our network. Overall, I make sure to keep the wheels of Launch Michigan moving. 

What do you enjoy the most about your work?

It’s rewarding to know that we are working hard for the children of Michigan to help reimagine an education system where all kids can be successful.  

What are the causes you’re most passionate about?

I am passionate about serving others. Specifically, kids of all ages, kids with special needs and kids in vulnerable situations. I find it rewarding to make a difference in a child’s life and to put a smile on their face, even for a moment. I am also passionate about working with children in the mission field. 

What inspires, challenges or motivates you?

It’s inspiring to learn and grow from the amazing minds surrounding the education space. Most importantly, I am in awe of how resilient young minds are and how eager children are to learn and grow in their own capacity. It keeps me motivated to fight for their success and to see each child prosper in their education and in life. 

What do you love about Michigan?

I love that we are surrounded by such beautiful bodies of water and that the outdoor adventures are truly endless no matter what time of year. I love boating on the Grand Traverse bays, hiking the trails close to home, skiing Nubs Knob and snowmobiling off the grid! It truly is Pure Michigan!
