Position Description

As a Senior Program Manager, Digital Equity & Inclusion, you will serve as the lead on enterprise strategy to objectives across a single or multiple entities, business areas, vendor and community partners to deliver value. You'll implement strategy and program initiatives for the rehab and repair initiatives for the community. Goals and success measures focus on dependencies, key business metrics, stakeholder alignment and execution management.


Responsibilities
  • Assist the Education and Employment Director in shaping the team’s philanthropic strategy in alignment with the greater organizational mission
  • Collaborate with partners and key stakeholders to identify how policies and specific practices can be improved to support local digital inclusion work
  • Monitor and engage on federal, state, and local policies that impact digital equity and the efforts of Rocket Community Fund and our affiliates
  • Thread tying with other Community Fund program areas (i.e., Volunteer Engagement & Giving, Housing Stability, etc.) and Rocket/business teams (i.e., Government Affairs, Technology, Talent Acquisition, Marketing, etc.) to align goals, programs, and strategic initiatives
  • Work closely with the Operation and Information Management team to ensure all spending/procurement items are properly entered in the appropriate software systems
  • Work with Rocket Community Fund’s Marketing & Communications team to create PR and communications plans specific to programs in portfolio
  • Conduct due diligence on prospective 501(c)(3) partner organizations, including financial analysis, along with best practice research and analysis to guide and inform strategic investment opportunities
  • Craft and present funding opportunities that will address the digital divide in Detroit
  • Collaborate with the Rocket Mortgage Classic team to support the development, integration and role of Connect313 and associated digital equity strategies
  • Build and maintain professional relationships with business and community leaders
  • Convene and actively participate in relevant local, state, and/or national meetings and conferences that inform our work
  • Collect and analyze reporting from grantees to assess Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and progress on the Education & Employment team Objectives and Key Results (OKRs)
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive program plan that incorporates key milestones of all projects and initiatives
  • Translate strategy into specific goals and action plans
  • Manage risks and issues by identifying and escalating decisions at all levels to achieve results
  • Coach and mentor others on project or program frameworks
  • Identify improvement opportunities and implement creative, alternative approaches to solving issues and executing work

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • 5 years of project management experience
  • 5 years of experience overseeing wide-reaching and/or complex community initiatives
  • 3 years of Digital Equity and Inclusion experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent competency in a related field
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization, including executive leadership
  • Experience with planning, organizing and establishing priorities across business units to achieve outcome-based, quantifiable results
  • Experience with delivering a project or program with a high demand for frequent communication and acute attention to detail
  • System thinking abilities including the ability to identify upstream and downstream business impacts of a change, and ability to facilitate methods for improving current state processes
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2 years of experience working on the Education & Employment team
  • Familiarity with software platforms such as Salesforce & Workday
  • Experience working in Detroit
  • Engaged with local Detroit stakeholders; preferably involved in two or more of the following sectors: K12 & higher education, corporate and/or foundation philanthropy and/or family oriented social services
  • Community program development experience
  • Data management and impact reporting experience
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal policies affecting under-resourced communities
