Get to Know Dick:
Dick Rappleye brings leadership, consulting and management experience from both the nonprofit and for-profit sectors. For the past 30 years he has worked for both the C.S. Mott and Kresge Foundations in vice president positions. His focused has been in finance and administrative capacities, including information technology, grants administration and human resources functions. Program and general foundation management are also part of his experience.
Dick began his career with Deloitte after obtaining an MBA from Wharton. He served on both the audit and management consulting staffs. His consulting clients included the City of Pontiac, John Deere, Armco Steel, Denver Public Schools, Detroit Coca Cola and both the US Army in Illinois and US Navy in Washington D.C. He went on to be the chief financial officer of a publically traded company and vice president of two national associations before concentrating in the foundation/nonprofit field.
Dick continues to share his experience and knowledge through his teaching of a university graduate course on Change and Leadership in Nonprofits, and his coaching and consulting practice. Coaching/consulting services are focused on transitions for individuals and organizations. This includes career and retirement transitions, and assisting small teams in strategic planning and other organizational issues.
