Get to Know Patrice:
Originally from Chicago, Patrice became a proud resident of Michigan in 1984, settling in Hillsdale County. A long tenure in administrative and human resource roles in the private sector led to a variety of roles in the nonprofit sector in community, economic and workforce development. Patrice has held positions as diverse as Legal Advocate for a domestic violence program to Strategic Grants Officer for a workforce development organization. She is also a former Hillsdale County Director for Community Action Agency and the inaugural director of the Economic Development Partnership of Hillsdale County. Patrice most recently worked with a regional nonprofit, management support organization as its Leadership Coach.
Patrice has acquired a wealth of training, facilitation and consulting experience. Her work with Community Foundations includes strategic planning, board development and facilitating the development of community initiatives led by foundations. Patrice also has experience leading discovery conversations based on the Aspen Institute’s Community Leadership model, and has been trained in the Deloitte Consulting “What’s Next for Community Philanthropy?” model. She has been certified to deliver the Bridges Out of Poverty model, the Community Leadership Development program of the University of Georgia’s Fanning Institute, and is an authorized facilitator for the Stewards of Children, a sexual assault awareness training through Darkness to Light. She also holds a Business Solutions Professional certificate through the Michigan State University School of Labor and Industrial Relations and a completion certificate for the Strategic Foresight system from the University of Houston.
