Diversity Alliance Summit on Race & Inclusion, May 21

Thursday, March 6, 2014

The Diversity Alliance Summit on Race & Inclusion examines the effects of racial disparities and strategies for their elimination at a day-long conference involving hundreds of participants from across the state of Michigan.  It is being held on May 21, 2014, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Hope College in Holland, Michigan.

In 2001, the Lakeshore Ethnic Diversity Alliance launched the first program in the five-year Lakeshore Region Summit on Racism series.  It has now continued as a bi-annual event due to demand and great success.  Participants come to learn how discrimination affects communities economically and socially; understand how racial inclusion benefits everyone; learn about tools to make a positive difference in our community; and join others to develop concrete plans for shaping a prosperous, inclusive future.

The program is supported by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, the Brooks Family, Meijer and Hope College.
