With minimal supervision and direction, provides advanced secretarial support to the Executive Director of Development and the Foundation Board of Governors. Using independent judgment, coordinates the details of the office to which assigned. May direct the work of student employees.

- Associate degree in a related area, including business courses.
- Three (3) years experience as a secretary, or related.
- General clerical skills including accuracy in basic math, filing, proofreading, typing, spelling and data entry.
- Ability to understand and operate appropriate office equipment, including personal computers and working knowledge of department-specific software.
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Good communication skills with an ability to relate to staff, students, and members of the community.
- Must possess ability to analyze and prioritize supervisor’s schedule.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information, diffuse emotionally charged interactions and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to solve practical problems, consumer concerns appropriate to this position level, and deal with a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
