President & CEO, The Foellinger Foundation

The Foellinger Foundation, Inc. is a private, charitable foundation that awards grants to effective grantee organizations led by adaptive leaders for the benefit of people in Fort Wayne and Allen County, Indiana. The Foundation provides grants to Allen County nonprofits led by people who have demonstrated leadership, a relentless focus on mission, and a commitment to producing and measuring results.

The Foundation seeks an accomplished, inspiring and strategic leader who is passionate about the Foundation’s work and the opportunity to make a lasting impact. This individual will display a genuine intellectual curiosity, an exceptional degree of interpersonal effectiveness, and wisdom borne of experience. The next President will lead with humility and understated self-confidence. An understanding of and experience with a private foundation or a conversion fund is strongly preferred.  Candidates must demonstrate adaptive leadership – having the aptitude to imagine and the practical skills to develop and implement forward thinking concepts. Adaptive leaders will creatively challenge and encourage grantees to be mission-driven, well managed and results-oriented, and such leaders will have modeled these attributes within their own organizations.
