Recently founded and launched with approximately $15M in permanent assets and more than $680,000 in annual grant making, this mid-size, family foundation headquartered in southeast Michigan with grant-making statewide, is seeking a new Director.
The Director reports to the foundation chair of the board and is responsible for managing and implementing (approximately a 15-20 hours per-week basis) all aspects of the foundation’s strategic and discretionary grants program, working collaboratively with trustees, grant seeking non-profit partners, stewarding grants, web-communications and community relationships.
The Director is responsible for managing the foundation’s grant making strategy, acting as the foundation’s primary contact and providing support to grant seekers and grantees and internal support to the foundation. This individual will also be responsible on a statewide basis for building grant seeker awareness, consideration for the foundation as a funding partner as well as managing the community partner relationships and brand reputation. The position requires highly professional, customer service focused interaction with grant seekers, grantees, nonprofit partners and the public as the Director serves as the primary contact for the foundation.
