The L&L Educational Foundation & L&L Products Foundation are private 501(c)3 foundations established in 1987 and 2018 respectively. The Foundations were  created to provide scholarships to the spouse and children of L&L Products employees both in the USA and globally. The Foundations' goal is to provide scholarships to as many worthy applicants as possible each year. The program helps to support the cost of attending a college, university, technical, trade, or vocational school to prepare for a career or to enhance a current career. Wherever possible, the Foundations support STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) programs and other educational tools in local schools through a grant program.

What you’ll do: As a full-time Accountant/Program Officer, you will be key contributor to the operations of private foundations that provide scholarships to family members of L&L Products employees globally and educational grants to local area school districts.

The position provides an excellent opportunity for professional development and to leverage one’s knowledge, skills, and passion to help make a difference in the lives of others.

  • Day to day accounting activities of the foundations and investment portfolios including financial reporting
  • Day to day management of the foundations scholarship and grants programs
  • Support promotion of foundation programs by initiating and collaborating with L&L colleagues and external partners to provide content for internal communications and publications, social media posts, website development, artwork, and presentations.
  • Support the implementation and use of foundation management software applications.
  • Support trustee, investment committee, and scholarship & grants committee meetings, and award celebrations.
  • Research, develop, and manage new giving programs
  • Improve and increase efficiencies of operations
  • Other assignments, projects, and activities as assigned from time to time

Expectations / Key Performance Indicators:

  • Complete responsibilities in a timely manner and meet deadlines
  • Manage details with a vision toward accomplishing intermediate and long-term objectives
  • Demonstrate improvement and increased efficiency of operations
  • Support and make presentations
  • Travel locally as required to research programming and promote the foundations
  • Identify and take advantage of appropriate learning opportunities
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years in auditing and general accounting
  • Intermediate level skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with relational databases a plus, but not required
  • History of work with non-profits as a volunteer or paid staff
  • Desire to continuously learn, increase base of knowledge and competencies
  • Comfortable meeting new people, attending non-profit events representing the foundations, seeking business relationships, and providing presentations to groups.
