Join your CMF peers for a special in-person immersive experience focused on collaboration to enhance environmental and economic outcomes in Northern Michigan with the Green and Blue Network! Together we will visit the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy’s new headquarters and educational center and learn about their innovative strategy to conserve land and protect local watersheds. Then we will take in the beautiful fall colors and float (or walk) down the Boardman River, learning about the projects along the way.
This fun and engaging experience will highlight the partnerships between philanthropy, government and tribal communities that have brought expansive environmental projects from ideation to reality.
Agenda
- Participants will be invited to an optional dinner on Thursday evening for networking and a short program.
- On Friday morning, participants will visit the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy’s new headquarters and educational center located just outside of Traverse City, and learn about their innovative strategy to conserve land and protect local watersheds.

- A special Floating Tour on the Boardman/Ottaway River, where you will see the work up-close to remove four dams and restore the natural habitat.
