About the Event

CMF is seeking your thoughts, ideas and input for our revised public policy framework, Building an Equitable Future Together. CMF serves as the collective voice of Michigan philanthropy on policy and advocacy issues. Therefore, all CMF member input is critical as we shape our path forward with a new policy framework. Whether you are actively engaged in policy and advocacy or exploring this work in your own organization, we want to hear from you! The framework serves as a roadmap for CMF and CMF’s Government Relations Public Policy Committee (GRPPC) in advancing public policy and practices to improve the communities we work alongside. In partnership with Public Policy Associates (PPA), we invite you to join this feedback session to offer your comments, perspectives and insights on the contents of the draft framework. Your insights will help inform the final version that we will share with the membership in early 2025.

The draft updated policy framework will be presented at the CMF Annual Members Meeting on Oct. 8, 2024, and posted on the CMF website. You can view it here.

About The Framework

In 2020, CMF unveiled Building an Equitable Future Together (BEFT), a focused, strategic and timely policy framework that served as a resource for CMF to advance the interests and priorities of Michigan philanthropy in response to the emergent needs of the COVID-19 pandemic. With the start of a new Congress and a new legislative session in 2025, it is time to update the framework to ensure that it continues to reflect the policy priorities of CMF members.
