Leadership succession remains a top concern for foundations, regardless of size or type of organization. The dynamic of family foundations can make the process even more of a unique challenge. Such change can be disruptive to our planning and vision for the future, but we can manage these issues by planning ahead, whether facing change at the board level or with staff. In this session we'll explore best practice in leadership succession, with practical supports and hands-on guidance. The insights and tools we discuss can also be applied to work with grantee partners as they tackle their own leadership succession challenges.
