Family foundations have some of the strongest values for philanthropic giving, and many of those values endure through generations of family involvement. But how do you best prepare new generations to serve on a foundation's board? Join IPA and Ball Brothers Foundation Program Officer, Jenna Wachtmann, for a webinar about working with multiple generations to prepare them for grantmaking and giving through a foundation. We will highlight Ball Brothers Associate Director Program which provides an opportunity for family members to become acquainted with the grantmaking process, see the foundation and board in action, and determine whether the board meeting schedule is feasible. This opportunity lets individuals explore, in advance, if they are a good fit for the board.

Speaker

Jenna Wachtmann, Program Officer, Ball Brothers Foundation 

Jenna joined the Ball Brothers Foundation staff in 2014 after working in fundraising and program development for social service agencies in St. Louis and Indianapolis. She also completed an internship with the U.S. Department of State, Office of Innovation. She is a graduate of Abilene Christian University and holds both a certificate in nonprofit management from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs at IUPUI and an executive master of arts degree in philanthropic studies from the IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy. Her responsibilities at BBF include researching funding requests, reviewing grant proposals, conducting site visits, and managing special projects.
