About the Event
Join your Michigan philanthropy peers engaged in economic development work and meet with selected state legislators on small and microbusiness issues for this in-person event in our 2023 Foundations in Lansing series. This is an opportunity to highlight your work supporting small business and lessons learned from that work. The conversation may also include discussions around the recently released Microbusiness Coalition report and support for minority and women-led business enterprises (MWBEs). We will also learn about legislative priorities and deepen connections with policymakers working to shape the future of small and microbusinesses in Michigan. Lawmakers will gain a deeper understanding of Michigan philanthropy's towards policies, programs and partnerships that address structural and systemic barriers to economic opportunity and ensure economic prosperity is accessible to all Michiganders.
