Register now to join your CMF family foundation peers in Kalamazoo for an interactive, informative and engaging retreat! We are excited to host this gathering in person, where you can grow and deepen your family foundation network. You will leave with strategies and tools to both address current challenges and plan for future opportunities. During the retreat you will:
- Reconnect with your peers and enjoy ample opportunities for networking and time to explore Kalamazoo.
- Reflect and engage with experts in the field through sessions focused on national family foundation trends, new ways of approaching board leadership, policy updates and foundation operations.
- Reimagine the future together. Sessions will include activities and conversation spaces to support your organization’s long-term visioning, with actionable ideas you can take back to your foundation.
The CMF Family Foundation Retreat will also feature programming for youth (ages 5 and above). Together they will discuss how they can be a part of the world of philanthropy and advance their own leadership development through philanthropy and their respective family foundations. Programming will be tailored with age-aligned content based on the youth who register. Please note that youth programming is most impactful with three or more youth from different families/foundations engaged, therefore if youth participation is limited CMF staff will connect with those registered to discuss alternative options.
Dedicated Foundation Staff Programming
Staff of family foundations are invited to join their peers from 3-5 p.m. on Friday, August 12 for dedicated programming unique to their roles. Staff who register for the full retreat can participate in Friday's programming at no extra cost. Or staff may register for the “Friday Only” option which includes staff programming as well as a reception, dinner and main stage session on Friday evening.
