About the Event
Corporate volunteer programs are adapting their strategies and tactics of employee engagement and volunteering amidst a hybrid workforce, changing culture and increased pressure to engage in social causes. At the same time, community-based and nonprofit organizations’ needs have also changed, and thus the way they approach volunteerism. How can corporate practitioners equitably bridge volunteer needs and resources as they fulfill workforce and management expectations? What does this look like for Michigan practitioners?
In this roundtable, we will hear from Dr. Phillip Knight, CEO of the Food Bank Council of Michigan to understand changes in volunteerism from a nonprofit’s perspective. Then, we will open the conversation for peers to share questions, lessons learned, and examples of accommodating and engaging a diverse workforce. Join us!
