Hosted by CMF and Rotary Charities of Traverse City
Join your fellow Emerging Practitioners in Philanthropy (EPIP) members and the Grand Traverse Conservation District (GTCD) for a kayak adventure on the Boardman River, highlighting GTCD's recovery efforts along the river following the dam removal. The Boardman River Watershed, which feeds into Grand Traverse Bay, is a source of recreation, heritage and livelihood for the community, including the Anishinaabe neighbors of the Grand Traverse Bay Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians.
* This activity is open to conference attendees engaged with EPIP or anyone who’s interested in learning more about the group.
Registration is $20. Space is limited. Reserve your spot via this link using the password EPIP.
Participants will meet in the parking lot of the conference hotel at 12:30 pm and carpool to the launch site. We plan to return to the hotel by 4:30 pm. If you'd prefer to hike instead of kayaking, please indicate that in your registration. This is a rain or shine event.
