Get to know Tyler:

What do you actually do all day long?
I am directly engaged with the grant making process. I conduct research, develop materials for the board of trustees’ consideration, and sharpen my own understanding of how to best foster productive, mutually beneficial relationships throughout the philanthropic arena.

What is the best part of your job
The most rewarding aspect of the work is contributing to and helping to further a noble mission that serves my own community.

Favorite flavor of ice cream?
Coldstone’s “Cookiedoughn’t you want some?” Signature Creation

What music are you streaming?
Lately I’ve been listening to a lot of underground Detroit artists, or lofi.

Why do you love where you live?
There is no place like home.

If you could choose a super power, what would it be?
If I could choose a superpower it would be teleportation, because traffic stinks.

Favorite book from childhood?
“Bud, Not Buddy” by Christopher Paul Curtis

“The Prophet” by Kahlil Gibran

Dream vacation?
My dream vacation is somewhere peaceful, with great company and the resources to fully immerse in the experience.
