Working in partnership to shape and move a shared proactive public policy agenda that allows philanthropy to leverage its collective voice in meeting sector needs and advocating for policies that positively impact the constituents you serve. This includes facilitating connections with policymakers and working with you and your team on advocacy engagement efforts.

What do you actually do all day long?
I listen, research, plan and act in partnership with the Office of Foundation Liaison. 

What is the best part of your job?
I especially enjoy listening, problem solving, sharing insights from past professional experiences, and strategizing on ways to elevate and move policy issues. 

Favorite flavor of ice cream?
This is a tough one, because I LOVE ice cream. I would say coffee or Baskin-Robins' seasonal flavor, "Quarterback Crunch".

What music are you streaming?
I'm more of an NPR girl, but here's what's in heavy rotation on Spotify. On the podcast side, I've been listening to Vox's "The Weeds" and WNYC Studios' and The Nation's "There Goes the Neighborhood." On the music side, you'll find me listening to J Dilla, Talib Kweli, Meek Mill, J. Cole and Earth, Wind & Fire. 

Why do you love where you live?
Detroit Hustles Harder, enough said! As a Michigander I love the beauty and seasonal activities that our great state provides. I love snowmobiling in the Upper Peninsula.

If you could choose a super power, what would it be?
I would love to know what folks are thinking, so I guess reading minds. I am always curious about the unspoken words.

Favorite book from childhood?
"Heidi" by Johanna Spyri

It's been a while since I've read a book for pleasure. If you have any suggestions, send them my way!

Dream vacation?
Someplace enjoying non-manmade creations
